Denver Colorado's own Cherry Hills Country Club will be hosting the 2012 U.S. Amateur Golf Championship.  This is an impressive and challenging venue in partnership with Common Ground Gold Course as the champanion golf course.  Practice rounds to be played at bothe Cherry Hills and Commonn Grounds on Aug. 11th and 12th.  The first two rounds of stroke-play qualifing will commence at both courses on Aug. 13th and 14th. followed by five days of match play at Cherry Hills. The U.S. Amateur is the oldest national championship conducted by the USGA.  Jack Nicklaus, Phil Nickelson, Arnold Palmer and Tiger have all played and won this very pretigious event.
